Work is now complete on ‘The Shelter of Your Arms’, the sculpture I have created specially for my exhibition – Time Traveller – at the
Sawyer Gallery, situated in the National Trust for Scotland’s Inverewe Garden, Poolewe. Inspired by the shelter belt that protects the garden and allows it to prosper; the sculpture also contains the memory of being held in a loving embrace.
Photographer Adrian Hollister has been documenting the various stages of the carving process and some of these images will be displayed alongside the sculpture, together with a wee video. More of my sculptures, old and new, will also be displayed both in the gallery and the garden.
Time Traveller runs from 21 July to 30 August 2018
