Cancelled in 2020 due to the Covid crisis, my Inverewe Artist Residency colleague, poet and author Mandy Haggith, finally has her exhibition, Trees Meet Sea, restored this Spring, at the Sawyer Gallery, Inverewe Garden.
Mandy has a fascination for that magical and shape-shifting zone between ocean and land, and has selected work from, or collaborated with, fourteen different artists, in an exploration of the coast. Each artwork is accompanied by a poem from Mandy. Included, is Wind Dancer, a work created (just before the first lockdown) by my other Artist-in Residence colleagues, Lynn Bennett- Mackenzie, Dorje Khandro Dawid and myself.
After the Sawyer Gallery run, the exhibition transfers to the gallery at the Botanic Gardens, Dundee.
